Children's Centre

Pembury House Children’s Centre offers a wide range of services for children under 5 and their parents from the local community.

Baby Group

For new parents, we have our friendly and supportive baby group. Come along and meet other new parents and babies! This is for all babies (under 1 year old) in the area. We sometimes invite special guests – these include our link health visitor (to talk about feeding and sleep) and oral health practitioner. This service is free of charge.

Stay and Play Groups

For children aged up to 5 years old and their parents/carers, we run stay and play groups 2 times a week. These offer a range of exciting opportunities for learning through play. Come and join us for messy play, water play, singing and reading, and exploring outdoors! This service is free of charge.

Chattertots

Invitation only! For families with children from 18 months to 3 years old. Chattertots is a language and communication focused group that supports parents and children through songs, rhymes and stories. Please ask Sylvie or Tameeka for more information. This service is free of charge.

Adult learning

Are you interested in working in childcare and gaining an accreditation in Introduction to Early Years? Find about our CACHE levels run by Barnet and Southgate College.

Would you like to improve your English? Find out about our ESOL classes, run by WEA. We have a range of courses at different levels.

Please ask Simone at reception for more information.

Volunteering

Would you like to develop your skills and experience? Are you hoping to get on to a course or find a job in the next year? Come and speak to Luis or Sylvie to find out about our volunteering programme. We have volunteers in our under 3s and over 3s nurseries and in our children’s centre groups. We can also help you find volunteering opportunities in other settings. This service is free of charge.
